About Chard Cricket Club
Chard Cricket Club is located in the heart of the South West, United Kingdom. We are dedicated to fostering a love for cricket and providing a welcoming space for players and the community alike. From our successes on the field to our commitment to local engagement, we take pride in every aspect of our club. We welcome all visitors and especially enjoy hosting touring sides. We also often provide our facilities for use by others, for example Somerset Cricket Foundation who hold Somerset Senior Cricket and Youth Pathway matches at Chard.
Our clubhouse is available to hire for your events.

More than just a game
Chard Cricket Club is special for many reasons. We boast four senior teams, a thriving ladies' section crowned as the 2025 Softball Knock Out Cup champions, and a vibrant youth section with boys and girls teams from U10 to U16. We also are proud of our Accessibility Cricket program which brings so many smiles during the summer. Our committed members, including lifetime members with centuries of combined dedication, are the backbone of our club. We are modern, forward-thinking, and always investing in our facilities and our future. We welcome players and supporters of all ages and abilities.

A hub for the community
Chard Cricket Club brings people together by offering something for everyone. We have competitive cricket for serious players, friendly and social cricket for those who enjoy a more relaxed game, a fantastic bar, and the best beer garden in Chard. We also run programs for the community, such as the popular All Stars and Dynamos, and offer a friendly welcome to all who visit.

Looking to the future
Our hopes for the next few years are to achieve success on the cricket field, grow our teams, and celebrate their achievements. We aim to embed a culture of youth development and opportunity, and to transform our community club into a professional business that can invest in our families, players, and all those who use our facilities.
"Chard Cricket Club is a vital part of our community. The club provides opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in sport and socialise with others."
